Tatiana did an amazing job with this piece. The monologue was interesting, vivid, in the moment, had purpose, she really found a moment in time based on the imagery work with her poem.
Yes. It is one of the things that stood out to me the most about this piece. This character was so clear. It is such a great example of how sensory stimulus leads to the discovery of perspective and objective.
My favorite part of any monologue is always the last line. I liked that she took that moment to process everything that she said before delivering that line. Go Tatiana!
Not really. I am happy to look at material whenever you want to send it. I would say that as time goes on, the more pieces I get sent the further away from being able to watch and give feedback I might be. Also, I will eventually move assignments to an archive spot to give room for new stuff.
I was planning to get headshots, but the shutdown hit so I wasn’t able to do so. Since we started to open back up, I wanted to possibly try again. Now that cases are alarmingly increasing and there is a strong possibility of another shutdown, I’m nervous to be around people I don’t know. I don’t have any photos to submit. My appearance has drastically changed for the better. Do you have any suggestions? I feel stuck.
I know a lot of people are feeling the same way. You're in LA right? Here in Atlanta Wesley Stanfield has been successful taking pictures with really good social distancing. I think it's just a question to ask of the photographer. Seems headshots are something you can accomplish without getting too close. Just have a good conversation with the photographer. People are auditioning, so if you need the pictures, I recommend doing it.
Tatiana's monologue was born from the Shel Silverstein Poem "Rain" Attached here. Ashley's was born from Langston Hughes "A Dream Deferred" Attached here.
Excellent question. Training and independent work to start. Finding student films, independent films to work on will be key. Then making sure you are training. With the world on shut down, it might be a minute before you can do an independent or student film, but this should be a goal when things start back up.
For beginners, If we're in an acting class, reading, and going over scripts at home/recording yourself.. What other kinds of training do you recommend? I want to continue my training with you, but do you recommend taking additional acting classes?
Do I need to have a agent in California and Atlanta? I'm asking because recently I signed with a agent in LA but i have one in Atlanta to. Dont want any conflicts with agent in California.
As long as they know about each other you shouldn't have any conflicts. If you start having a conflict though you will need to make a decision about who is your agent of preference.

Did you all have a chance to watch Ashley's on the website?
Just did. It is absolutely beautiful!
Yes I saw Ashley's. I felt like I wanted to be there with her having this conversation. lol
Thanks Aja! ❤️
Are any of you back to auditioning?
Yes, I actually have a commercial callback today!
Great. Did you audition on Zoom or another platform?
I haven't done it yet, but it will be through Zoom
This was so much fun to watch. I love the characters personality. Way to go Tatiana!
I just watched yours as well, Ashley. Beautifully written and beautifully lived. I LOVE it!
Thanks Aja. I always love your work.
You're welcome! Thank you, girl. ❤️🤗
Yes, her character was well developed

I told her the same thing when I sent her the feedback. That final moment was so rich.
Do we just ask questions in this thread as well?
Yes. Ask away!
Lisina, When you post new material on the members page.. Is there a deadline to turn it in?
Not really. I am happy to look at material whenever you want to send it. I would say that as time goes on, the more pieces I get sent the further away from being able to watch and give feedback I might be. Also, I will eventually move assignments to an archive spot to give room for new stuff.
Tatiana, that was great! I loved the character and it was very funny. Nice work!!
Thank you Kiana!
Kiana. Was your audition a self-tape, on Zoom or another platform?
I auditioned about a week ago as a self tape doing two different improv scenes and heard back yesterday about a zoom callback happening later today
Great. We will be interested to hear how the Zoom callback goes.

What are some important things that should be on an acting resume for a beginner?
