Good morning my faithful chatter!
@lisin9 How are you doing today?💛
@courtneycummings1126 Pretty good. Slept in. I mistakenly allowed my son to have breakfast in his room so he could be on xbox w his friends and so I just finished cleaning up a floor full of orange juice. Live and learn.
Howdy! ☀️ I’m in an upcoming Zoom play festival and I’m cast in two different plays. Should I list them on my resume separately or just list the name of the festival?
List the two different plays. And make sure you send us the information so we can tell people about them. Are they open to the paying public?
@lisin9 thanks! I’ll send the eventbrite page when they finalize it.
@Jessica Kelly Great!
Does anyone have Facebook groups or website suggestions for student films/ independent project castings?
Excellent question. I'm a little out of the loop on groups where you can find those. But just make sure if something does come off of social media that you properly vet the project before submitting. You can always find these projects on Actors Access as well. They do not vouch for the project by allowing it to be posted, so still do your homework, but they do have many of them.
@lisin9 great! Thank you
Backstage has been a great resource for me. A lot of people have actually reached out to me from seeing my profile on there and I basically assembled my entire commercial reel off of bookings I found on Backstage. There's also a ton of indie and student projects on there. I'd look at SCAD as well. It can be a toss up as to whether you'll get the footage from that project but if you do it's usually very good quality. Facebook groups I lurk are: "Atlanta Film Community" "ATL Thunderdome" "SCAD Film & Television" "Music, Film & Casting Network of Atlanta" "Georgia Casting Notices" "Middle GA Talent" "Georgia Film TV & Casting News". As Lisina said, VET EVERYTHING!!
