Aja’s love for acting began during her outspoken childhood years when she would entertain her family with various antics and the British accent she learned from watching her favorite group (The Spice Girls). She decided to become a student of the craft as an adult over eleven years ago in the Atlanta area. Her initial training was in the Meisner technique, with an emphasis on improvisation. Early on, she performed in local theatre productions; her favorite being The Renaissance Project Theatre’s rendition of A Christmas Carol. Some years later, Aja decided to bet on herself and focus all of her energy on her heart’s true desire so she re-immersed herself in the exploration of the art and craft of acting, studying with Lisina Stoneburner at The Company Acting Studio in Atlanta, and hasn’t looked back. Since then, she has also trained with The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Margie Haber Studios, and with Dialect Coach, Paula Vanlandingham. In addition to The Company Acting Studio, she is also currently in ongoing training with Anthony Abeson (NYC). She is actively auditioning and working in the Atlanta area. Her most recent credits include two SAG national commercials, for NexGard and Ford. Aja attributes so much of her knowledge and work ethic to the wisdom gleaned from her training at The Company Acting Studio and is thrilled to have the opportunity to help her fellow actors realize their potential and hone their craft as well.
